| | Zoom etiquette
A Julius Bär banker lost his job after colleagues witnessed him masturbate on video during a town hall video call... https://insideparadeplatz.ch/2021/03...igung-im-zoom/
Several colleagues tried to warn him but he didnt pick up his mobile phone.

Sounds incredibly petty to fire him, the shame alone should be punishment enough. Allowance should be made for the fact that he is at home where lines have already become blurred.

Some days like today, you don’t even turn the camera on because you don’t feel like changing or brushing your hair. I noticed while spaced out in a meeting today that everyone was silent & I didn’t know why, turns out they were waiting for me to answer a question.
I was mortified ... but this poor bastard. Seems a bit wrong to fire him, but perhaps it is good so he can claim RAV now, I would have wanted to quit straight away if I were him.

Whatever gains in efficiency have now been overtaken by an abuse of the system and the fact that meetings span 14 hours a day in my case (07:30 to 22:00). The reason is its less efficient in the long term to align and move large organisations by phone.

Well as they say. If someone catches you and you stop, you're the one caught pulling yourself. If someone catches you and you continue, they're the pervert who kept watching...

It will be one year since I was in the office on Wednesday of next week....I can admit to half multi-tasked during a listen-only call to have a poo once in that time. I have also Skyped in December while walking from my apartment to the ski-lift |

Here is a question, if I am hosting a Zoom meeting at 9am. I already start the meeting at 8am, camera is on, recording to cloud is disabled. I have waiting room setup but no one is there as it is too early.
Now if I walk around in front of the camera getting ready for the meeting, could some Chinese tech guy potentially have access to that feed/video of me walking around?

Poor banker was isolated by COViD restrictions in home office, no girlfriend, no nightclubs, no going out hence in desperation, he “discharged” his emotions on screen.
It doesn’t deserve firing though, he should have been provided some mental coaching sessions by his wrong acting boss.
