And of course we can't forget that coming with inherent privilege, comes denial of the privilege or the belief (whether true or not) that the privilege is actually a disadvantage or burden. This commonly leads to doubling down on the attack of other's privilege.

This thread is very interesting to see how privilege affects the holder, and non-holder. Seen some really good genuine points! Makes me work harder to acknowledge my privilege - but lets be honest, I'm the victim here and everyone has it better than me (\s)
Nah, I am suposed to feel vulnerable and weak and beaten down by the world's biggest injustice of childbearing when it is the most fantastic thing that can happen to a human being, right after being a girl.

Everybody has it tough. To compete in feeling unfortunate is ridiculous.

I wish I wasn't exposed to an academic I don't know, looking at dating profiles right now, on a train. Everybody can see this . Zero discretion. Yes, I take it back. Some have it harder than others.

Nobody is saying that. Why are you acting like a victim now?

Either MC's English comprehension is not as good as she thinks it is or she has had a very very na´ve life. It baffles me why a woman would say these things other than to pander to the men in this thread.

Honest to gods...

Someone name a worldwide privilege that women have that is not related to childbirth.

Someone name an actual example of discrimination against men.

Tom - you keep groaning but you haven't yet answered my question.

I'd say multiple orgasms have childbirth beat tbh.

Ooh, orgasm discrimination. Found one.

His English must be also sub-par?

So being a happy woman means pandering to a man. This point of view might explain a few things.

I am glad that a multi-O can be quite an autonomous experience, too. Not that I prioritize solo. I like knowing how to complement.

Meh, is only one example. If you're playing the game "fairly" in this ridiculous arena then it should be a universal discrimination. That just looks like some French blokes got their feelings hurt because their new boss was a laydee.

In what way is the male sex discriminated against. Start the clocks...

Nah, that's not what I said at all is it? Try again. However, if that's what makes you happy, fill your boots. Just don't assume that's the only way.

Soo, in the incinerator she must go?

Seems to be the day for gender discussion. I had my A level teaching exam lessons today and one expert really asked why I didn't asked a question to the only 2 girls in class ...I was really glad that my mark was set in stone before that discussion started.

We have his thing about guys walking in a bar or a resto 1st, and then their female partners after the guys made sure it's safe. It's retro and maybe it's just back home?

This is a weird thread.

1) According to the law, men and women are equal and should be dealt with as such. If this means raising the female retirement age to 65, so be it. You'll get no argument from me.

2) There are physical gender differences that cannot be overlooked, including reproductive roles of our genitals and muscle strength. In general, men are stronger than women as dictated by the nature of our genes.

3) Fashion: there's women's fashion and there's men's fashion. Men and women are built differently and often have different tastes. I do question some women's fashion tastes that I personally find suggestive. However, that's not a free pass to abuse women.

3) Now comes the tricky part in this thread: parking spaces allocated to women. I applaud them and am grateful for them. However, I don't consider them as a legal right women should have. They do not have the same priority level as handicapped parking.

4) What I find distasteful on this thread are the posters who ignore common sense and universalities and instead find exceptions to back up their claims. Moreover, calling women sexist for pointing out the obvious is not only disappointing, but it raises the question if some posters have gender insecurity issues.
Everybody lives in their own bubble and for many is difficult if not impossible to look at the other side of their comfort zone. I can definitely acknowledge my "privileges" which I never translated into entitlement. However, that never prevented me from looking around and trying to understand how things are and work. Re. women's rights - it is much better than generations of women before us had it. I don't consider myself a feminist, I'm not in the streets protesting and screaming. Some things get done through dialogue, some others through picketing. All I know is that we as societies can do better at many things. Pointing out inequalities is not sexist. Pointing out the shortcomings of the system is not sexist. I can also acknowledge when the other gender(s) have it worse. I don't know many women working into a mine, construction site or as garbage collectors. I think people should collaborate, not fight. Hmm, and I defo never felt a victim, always did what I wanted (with common sense limitations) but I'm grateful I could choose. Choices, that's the magic word, we should all have them.

Does anyone know what was this thread about? 'cause it's descending into our usual EF stuff and it's tiring. I don't need the guidance of some folk here, I find some opinions amusing. Each to their own and their own bubble.

So what about the AHV contribution and pension age? Will something be changing in the next years?

1) TessinTom mentions that the retirement age in Switzerland may be raised to 65.

2) Female posters agree it's about time

3) Male posters mention female parking spots aren't fair

4) And that's where everyone went off on their own tangent.

There's your fundamental error. You may think it is, but that doesn't make it true. It's called opinion.

Hysteria is your term, not mine. But I acknowledge it and may use it in the future. Blame yourself, not me.

And you simply do not understand the point I am making and that is your failing. If you cannot see that all of society has to be aware that there is a problem before that problem can truly be taken out into the light and dealt with then there is no further discussion to be had with you.
I see your point quite well, I just dare to disagree.

And don't try to fool yourself or others. The fact that you keep bringing up stuff that is long past has only one reason. And that is to shame and put blame.

I don't know. Has chivalry died? Most people I know still help women with heavy stuff or keep the doors open. Some old fashioned dudes kiss women's hands. I think it didn't, but who knows. I actually don't know any male who's not chivalrous one way or another. Even the youth. I personally never pretended I'm offended by nice gestures. Does that make me a hypocrite? I don't think so. I treat people of any gender, colour or social status with respect and courtesy. Perhaps what goes around comes around IRL.

I have never been discriminated on this front, plenty of women do not want to be fxxxd 3 times a day or more, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Occasionally a guy gets lucky
