What about the bear?
And what about Swissport which has no relation with Switzerland?

Personally I don't like Toblerone, it's too sweet. I still buy it sometimes, as a memory of my childhood, when it was an fantastic luxury that we maybe got few times in a year. And the view of Matterhorn still makes me happy.
But yes, I am one who will reject a product if it has bad packaging design.

Will be interested if the 'Berner Bear' is also considered protected.

The bear on the Bern coat of arms looks very similar to the one on the Berlin coat of arms.
They have bears in Slovakia too - I've seen one but unlike the Berner bears, this one was in the wild in the mountains.

Why not call it Egyptian chocolate as the shape looks like a pyramid?

Bit ridiculous really, as the mountain forms part of the Swiss - Italian border!

The Bernese bear, pictured since 2000, remains. The Institute for Intellectual Property has yet to approve the change, thereby confirming that the new mountain logo does not resemble the Matterhorn.

No Swiss ownership, nor Swiss representation on the Executive board. The most senior Swiss is, hold your breath, their manager for Switzerland.

Tom | | | | | It looks crap from that side. Better to create a good looking mountain from scratch. But nothing would ever come close to the Matterhorn, as seen from Zermatt!

“ The background to the changes is the strict regulations of Swissness. According to the law on the protection of trademarks and indications of origin, anyone who wants to call their product Swiss must source at least 80 percent of the raw materials from Switzerland. For milk and dairy products, it is 100 percent. In addition, the production step that gives the product its essential properties must take place in Switzerland. However, exceptions apply: This passage does not apply to raw materials such as cocoa, which are not found in this country”.
Also:
“ The Toblerone brand will partly no longer be produced in Switzerland, but in the Slovakian city of Bratislava at the end of this year”
