Potential Changes for Postdocs + Holders of Swiss Academic Degrees

Following the many recent conversations about the ridiculous measures currently in place hampering the integration of Non-EU citizens who have been educated in Switzerland into the Swiss society, the federal assembly has voted for facilitated integration for Non-EU holders of Swiss degrees.

Now, the motion will still go to the upper house, but if it is picked up this will affect many of us.

Re: Potential Changes for Postdocs + Holders of Swiss Academic Degrees

If this goes through, it may go beyond university education and include "höheren Berufsbildung, also der Tertiärstufe B" (higher professional education at the tertiary level B).

Such professional education is a route available to people who have followed the non-academic school route (Sekundarschule) and then completed an apprenticeship.
https://www.edk.ch/en/education-syst...et_language=en
Admission to the Federal Diploma of Higher Education examinations is generally granted to those who have at least completed a three-year or four-year vocational education and training programme and can provide evidence of a number of years of working experience. The same applies to the Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education examinations, although sometimes a Federal Diploma of Higher Education examination must be passed first. The terms of admission are set out in the various examination regulations.
