Yeah, 2nd or third floor. Despite being under the train station which is a bit ole-ole, it looks pretty safe down there.
Thanks for this. I'll give the Station a go tomorrow.

Re: Parking in Geneva

Hi,
I have an open air parking spot I am looking to sublet - it is in a courtyard in the rear of the building away from the street. It's on Rue de Lausanne near the shopping center Les Cygnes and 5 mins walk from the train station. Price is 200CHF/month (same as I pay currently)

If you are interested send me an email at PM me
Thanks
Kostas

You are absolutely right!! If you have a Landrover Discovery there is not ONE carpark that you can get into height wise as I found out last year. If I rememeber 2.0 metres was tops and I was 1.985 I am posting this as a useful bit of info as I had to go out of the centre and find a park and get the bus in, and was over one hour late for an appointment

So it has been 4 years since I made this post - off to Geneva tomorrow with a car full so are there any new outside carparks where I can park my old friend? - I usually go down by train but with a car load who don't have the half price card - the cost will be prohibitive..

Re: Parking in Geneva

How about the 44CHF day tickets currently available at Migros - and no demi tarif required? Much more fun - have a great day xx

Week-days with special offer tickets can't be used before 9am - so plenty of time to get to Migros first

Re: Parking in Geneva

Geneva has become a huge *zone bleue* (you can park for one hour before you get fined) but you need a *blue disk*.

Nice when you don't need to stay longer.

Re: Parking in Geneva

Just a warning, Geneva is just more awful than before with a car. There is a lot of construction in a lot of the city creating all kinds of bottlenecks upon bottlenecks. Really I would try to leave the car at home. However, perhaps one of the park and rides (depends on which side you enter GVA) would be the alternative, but then they tend to be a bit outside and require local Geveva transport fares, so maybe won't save you very much with the parking fare added on top.
