B.AF.VIEW has slipped a little
Hi! does anybody knows where to rent a Car

i just passed my driving test and i would like to rent a car for th weekend. but i dont have a credit card and my drivers licence is 1 week old.now the question is who or where can i find one renting company which accept cash as well and new driver ?

well first of all you need to be over 21. Then if your willing to pay a cash deposit you might be lucky to get something. Perhaps check at the airport with Avis or Hertz.

Sorry to tell you this but every major car hire company insists on holding the license for 12 months and a credit card or company security or substantial amounts of cash - ca 2K!

Also, I think most car hire companies require drivers to be over 25 unless I'm mistaken.

find a person with a Panda or Citreon (any model) and tell them you'll give them CHF20. for a ride. That should cover all the damages or a new one...

Take a look at www.mobility.ch

They're much cheaper than regular car rental companies, you pay by invoice and you do everything online.

Although you didn't mention your age, I think mobility also welcome young/new drivers. That's not something I had to check for myself, so take a look and report back here for future reference.

There's also an option do drastically reduce the standard CHF 2'500 excess to a (Deathproof) CHF 350.
