| | Please help with this ticket!!!
Yesterday, I received a ticket with this comment; Parkieren nach einer strassenverzweigung näher als 5m von der querfahrbahn um mehr als 60 min. (213.01B).
There was no amount on the ticket, only that I must approach my closest police station with my license and registration.
Can anybody help??!!

Looks like you parked less than 5 metres from a crossroads for longer than an hour, which I assume must be against the rules. |

zrh i thought i would be helpful and lookup the (213.01B) quoted on your ticket - i assumed this would be art. 213 of the swiss law - seems you were caught screwing a relative for more than 1 hour within 5m of a junction http://www.admin.ch/ch/e/rs/311_0/a213.html Art. 2131 Incest
1 Any person who has sexual intercourse with a blood relative in direct line or with a brother or sister, or a half-brother or half-sister shall be liable to a custodial sentence not exceeding three years or to a monetary penalty.
2 Minors are not liable to any penalty provided they have been induced to commit the act.

Where can I find this code (213.01B)?

Do you have cast-iron proof? Otherwise it's the copper's word against yours, and we all know who wins in that situation.

In the UK, the police getting the time wrong would result in the case being thrown out. In Switzerland, they will just amend the time and carry on chasing your money .

Does that mean that you were there less than 60 mins in total? Maybe that is relevant as it is stated in the offence.

I know first hand that if you don't show up, you can wind up in front of the judge. I recieved a hand written ticket in Winterthur for parking in front of my building for a few minutes in the spots designated for the cafe. They had called the police to come by and write tickets that day as there had been issues with people leaving the cars there all day . In vague language it stated something along the lines of going down to the police station. Where I come from (Chicago) something like this without a proper ticket # would be a warning and as such I never went down there. Got a call a week later from the Winti police threatening me with a court appearence . Luckily, my wife, being Swiss, was able to convince the officer that I am a just a newly arrived auslander who misunderstood/mis-translated the hand written note on my car. He explained that technically, they could make me appear in court (read $$$), but since I was new here they would send an official ticket, at double the fine, to pay.
