WARNING: Only 2 days left on your 2010 Autobahn vignette..!

To all my fellow procrastinators please take note, we have but only 2 days left before our 2010 Autobahn vignettes expire to become null and void..!!

If caught driving on the motorways of Switzerland without a 2011 sticker starting the first of February there's a mandatory chf 100.- fine. Be forewarned, snipers (er ah, I mean "sighters") armed with binoculars will be waiting along many off ramps to "take out" and fine offenders.

Re: WARNING: Only 2 days left on your 2010 Autobahn vignette..!

Strange coincidence - I also thought about this today, and was up the Post Office this morning, and was able to remove the last two, without scratching off some of the anti-glare strip on the windscreen (that I'd foolishly stuck them on, in a hurry)

Just, another thought -- what do other 'bikers do about displaying their vignette. I always keep mine in my wallet with the Fahrzeugausweiss, but technically, this isn't valid.

Before I moved here, when I came here with the 'bike, from London, I did get one prior to the visit, and stuck it on the outside of one of the hand guards. For 2 wks. in the summer that was fine, but for a whole year, I cant help thinking that through a combination of weather and possible curious fingers, it probably wouldn't last a year. [I can't ever recall seeing another bike with a vignette stuck on it.]
