Are you the rail passenger with initials "M.C."?

See here; short summary....some passenger, rather than paying extra to travel in first class (which might not solve the problem) invested in a cellphone blocker due to the loud conversations suffered during rail journeys.

Is that you?

If it is, please note that your 150 franc investment might have been too much...!!

(Remind me to look around next time I lose signal on the train )

LiB you should add these are earplugs. People could mistake it for something else.

Re: Are you the rail passenger with initials "M.C."?

I think you guys are going about this all wrong.

Sure loud conversations are annoying, but there is some real beauty about them as well.... like "Stupid things people say".

In the capital cities in Australia there is a daily rag (newspaper) that is printed for the afternoon commuters (like the "Blick am abend"), and this paper is equally as SHITE !!! - however there is a little piece of gold in there, a little column called "Overheard".

Overheard is where people send into the paper all the stupid things they hear other people say on the train, and it is DEFINITELY worth reading.

I can't find a link to the section to add but I can add some golden moments from memory:

"They make 5, 10, 20, and 50 cent coins.... why don't they just make a 100c coin?"

(conversation)
"I'm sick of blokes starring at my tits"
"why don't you cover them up?"
"because then nobody will see them"

"That Chinese language is absolute rubbish.... I mean, you can't even read it !!"

....... I'm sure we've all heard something similar. Perhaps we should just start our own thread on the EF instead.
