Anyone of the car experts know where I can buy these in Switzerland? For rear side & back windows.

I have an idea that they come in a self-adhesive film type format but no idea where I might get them. Thanks in advance!

I do have a feelings its cheaper in Germany then in Switzerland, all depending on how much moola you want to spend ofcourse.

But the result is nice, you cant even tell it is a foil.

Be careful what tone of " dark " you pick as some of them will not pass the MFK

Back window can IMHO be tinted as dark as you want - after all do all trucks, white vans, abulances and so on not have a clear window either.

Just ask your local garage for "Fickfolien"

They have a measuring tool to see how dark it is, if there is a clear window in the car, then it must be used and free of any obstacles at any time ( he said, not me)

Needles to say, Mfk guy never saw me doing an ikea run

I never heard of this too but just in case I'll buy the car then do the MFK then do the windows or have them done.

I would save money & do it myself but I tried even to do those iPhone glass protectors & messed that up

Our car was bought with the black foil on it already, but done ( or out sourced) by the previous owner.

Guys at Mfk said that certain tones apply depending on what window.

You can also only do the rear window and rear side windows, driver and passanger sides need to be clear.

A strip of foil on top of front window is also not allowed, unless its build in by the windscreen manufacturer in blue or green.

picky people i tell you...

our back and rear side windows are "foiled up " and it does make a difference in the summer, just that bit cooler ( temp wize )

Just went to see the car I might buy (a SUV) ran in to these guys on the way & had a quote from them (www.pneuhaus-wigger.ch) for 740CHF for the 5 windows (back, sides & little ones at the back). They come in different shades & are coded (to get through the MFK) the guy says & included in the price are the UV filter ones. I've really learnt a lot in a day about this.

And definitely better to do in Germany at that price as you say Joey..

it does not matter how dark the foil on the back (or/and back side windows) will be - no problem at all.

in switzerland, the front window and the front side windows have to stay original (no foils, no painting, no wet polecat attached, ...).
