bmibaby on-line registration!

Our friends were flying back today from Geneva to Birmingham with bmibaby. Spent ages trying to register on-line, but couldn't. Then phoned the number given for contact - and the person who replied said it was only for Swiss in Zurich. Eventually had to phone contact in UK - to be told they had wrong reference - made her wait on line for a while, to tell her the 'new/correct' reference- which was exactly the one she had told her! Still could not register on line - so had to leave extra early this am to make sure they could sort it out at airport. NOT impressed. Has that happened to anybody else?

Re: bmibaby on-line registration!

No, but this morning I was having problems with their website trying to book flights from Basel to Manchester. I asked it to quote for an adult and two children for certain dates, which it did, I selected the price I wanted to pay for each flight then clicked on "next step" (for payment), and it kept on coming up with a return flight for one adult on different dates! Try as I might I could not get to the payment step with my original request data still there. I would obviously much prefer to fly without my children for a lovely couple of weeks away instead of the weekend I had been planning but still ...??

Maybe it is a website problem?? In any event, I have given up.

Re: bmibaby on-line registration!

Looking forward to hear from friends when they get home today. If they were asked to pay extra for not registering on line, they would have thrown a wobbly! Yes, perhaps a website problem partly. But that would not excuse the fact the contact number for CH was for Swiss from Zurich only - as the woman who replied kept insisting- despite the fact I explained clearly, in 3 languages... that the problem was with bmibaby from Geneva.
