Transport needed for sofa from Zurich to Basel

Possibly a long short. I need to transport a sofa from Zurich city to Allschwil (Basel-Land/Basel-Stadt border). Sofa size is 196x94x82 cm

Just checked with a few rental companies and it costs around CHF 140. Plus petrol... that's going to be working it's way towards CHF 200. Mobility.ch is CHF 150 all in.

Anyone know of something cheaper or have a business who is driving between these two cities? I was thinking around CHF 80.

How about renting a car from Ikea. With family card during the week it's about 20chf/hour...

Re: Transport needed for sofa from Zurich to Basel

I heard that there was a group of people going to KFC somewhere near Basel on Sunday.
Maybe some are from Zurich and can tie a sofa to the roof - even creating extra seating in the bargain?

It's pretty comfy so it'll be a nice ride as long as the weather holds out.
