Dear forum members,
I searched through the forum but I didn't find a solution on my particular problem.

Next month some friends of mine will come from Italy to visit me for a weekend or so, and they want to come with their motorcycle(s). I'm searching infos on motorbike parking spots, but what I learned until now is that you "can" park on the pavement/sidewalk as long as you leave enough space or something like that. However I'm not very happy with this solution (I'd like to give my friends a safer alternative than "the cops won't mind").

What I'd like to really know is:
1) can motorbikes be parked on blue areas if they pay the ticket?
2) the building I live in has two or three "parking spots reserved for visitors". Does it mean that if I have guests for a few days they can park for the duration of their stay, or is it just for a few hours (like for a dinner or similar)?
3) can anyone suggest me motorcycle parking spots near Albisrieden?

I don't have an answer, but have been looking also for info on this, esp re parking in blue zones, and what the real likelihood is of being ticketed if you're 'just parking out of the way somewhere'... Have you learned anything lately you can share? Or would anyone else like to comment?

Oh yeah, almost forgot:

Nope, they'll fine you. That's at least what the person walking around and writing tickets told me. The do however tolerate (!) parking on the sidewalk if you leave 1.5m of space.

I am new on the forum so please accept my apologies if I am on the wrong section.
We are moving to Geneva from London with my wife and I am taking my R1150GS with me. My question is: Can I park my bike on the bicycle section? I have seen a blue sign with a bicycle/motorbike. Can I just park there or do I need some sort of permit?
