| | What to do with a GA credit
When I went on holiday, I left my GA at the SBB counter and when I collected it, they gave me some sort of voucher/credit.
Does anyone know what I can do with this? Can I just change it back for cash? Or does it have to be used against another GA, or something else like that?

They are only redeemable at SBB ticket offices in exchange for tickets or travel passes (i.e. you can't exchange them for cash). I suppose in theory one could put them towards a new GA, but I usually use mine to purchase travel passes/one-month travel cards for visitors, or to pay for trips abroad.

Does it have any writing on it that might give you (us) a clue what to do with it?

I'm sorry I don't understand this. So you left it at the SBB office so it wasn't usable so SBB gave you credit for that time you left it there and they kept it for you?

| | | | | Yes, you use it for your next purchase at SBB - either for a GA or any other subscription - good as cash really.
Max. 30 days for your GA, CHF10 each time is payable when you leave your original GA at SBB.

Does SBB do anything similar for a one month pass?
For example, if you only need it for three weeks?

It costs a bit mind, CHF370.
If you're coming from abroad you can get the Swiss Pass.

I don't think so. Annual pass yes but I don't think you'll get a refund for using 3 weeks out of 4. I've never heard of it anyway.
