If you get onto the bus using the front door then watch the little barrier, if it has one. They've got a bit of a spring in them and it can hurt a bit if it smacks you.
And is at bollock-height.

Oh yeah. I think it's been cleared up already, but most of the busses are green. Except the ones that aren't.

Remember when they used to have a trailer for the cases?

If a passenger has a Swiss Pass / Tageskarte / GA, the bus fare is not required ie the ride to Euroairport is free.

PDF of the Bus Network ( Grey line is for Bus Nr. 50 to Zone 13 )

Fahrplan for Bus line Nr. 50 in PDF

Fahrplan for bus line Nr. 50 from Euroairport to Basel SBB in PDF
That's fine and well...but one needs to find the bus first!

Remember when it was just a horse and cart, and when you got to the airport the farmers just stared at you as you tried to explain that there was something you could get into which then lifted off into the sky?

I followed your link but ended up in an infinite loop.

Fortunately I was rescued by a passing timelord. It's a good job he needed to get to the airport.

Please be careful what you link in future.

Re: [Where EXACTLY is the] bus station at Basel SBB?

Another bit of bus 50 related trivia.

If you arrive at the airport before 08.30 on a weekday morning then you will be dropped at Arrivals, rather than Departures as normal. You need to go upstairs (well, up the escallator) to get to departures/check-in.

I wish I'd known this before. I'd planned to leave for a vital meeting this morning and carefully followed the aforementioned and very detailed and helpful instructions to catch the bus.
On arrival at the airport, there wasn't a single check-in desk in sight, just many "Way Out" signs, so I followed them and got back on the bus.
When I arrived back at the SBB station, I couldn't work out where to go as there are no instructions on how to get back TO the station FROM the 50 bus (which was green). I'm now standing in a pool of my own urine in front of the station as there are no instructions how to get to the toilet. It's going to get worse, the turtle's head is munching on cotton as we speak.

Thank you for your post -- you just made me realise that actually, you can't get to EuroAirport from Basel SBB! The best way there is to catch the TGV to Paris; if you're lucky, it may be the same train on which you arrived in Basel. From there, proceed by rail to Orly or CDG and take a flight to Mulhouse. From Mulhouse Airport, I'm afraid you'll have to walk all the way to Basel Airport. But at least you'll get there.

This route works particularly well for people flying from Basel to Paris.

Re: [Where EXACTLY is the] bus station at Basel SBB?

Dear Everyone Posting on this Thread:

I enjoyed the first two pages of the thread, which brought a smile to my face. But you've upped the ante now. The humour on page three has been sublime and has actually made me laugh out loud, which has drawn some odd looks as I sit in an open-plan office and already have a reputation as being a little unbalanced.

I'm waiting in eager anticipation for page four, which will no doubt have me laughing so hard that I'll need to explain the puddle at my feet.

Keep up the good work. You've all done very well.

Sincerely,

Village Idiot. \/

Took the bus this morning and indeed it was orange this time! The plot thickens. The image should be geotagged if anyone needs exact coordinates.

I wasn't aware that you are that small. I will refrain from making any more comments on midget wrestling on EF...

P.S.: I am afraid this might have a negative impact on your plans regarding the "getting pregnant course with Carlos"...

There's a bookshop at the airport.

Actually, there isn't. Seems odd, now I think about it.
