| I use www.easyjet.com for cheap flights from London - but the earlier you book the better deal you get. Beware hidden costs like charging you for using a debit or credit card (how else are you supposed to pay!)
When I looked at trains (which don't limit you to a 20Kg allowance - useful when moving out to Zurich) they were much more expensive (and take 12 hours). Basically you take the Channel Tunnel to Paris and then a fast TVG to Zurich. Leave around 9am and arrive around 9pm. | |

Depending on where you live in relation to airports and train stations, it can be almost as quick to travel by train. The fastest train is under 8 hours journey time. London 14.02 today. Arrives Zurich 23.00 (Local times) Details:
SBB
Also take into account the shorter check in time, no baggage retrieval/customs on arrival and the train takes you right to the Zurich HB. As mentioned before, you also benefit from extra luggage limits.
Price of trains is the major downside.
