Classic project vehicle imported as removal goods

A friend of mine has brought a classic vehicle (1970) over as part of his removal goods to CH.

This is currently a restoration project and is not going to be roadworthy for some time, but he is coming up on his 12 month limit since moving here this summer, and is looking for some good advise on best way forward to avoid any problems with the STVA.
-Can the vehicle be registered with the STVA as off the road (sorn)?

During the restoration, what is the best way of getting the vehicle moved from one location to another? Itís quite heavy, so car trailer is not a practical solution.. Back in Norway you can go to the STVA and buy temporary plates. What you get is a sticker with a registration number and date limitations and has the mandatory insurance included in the price. Basically works similar to the plates the car dealerships have. This is used to be able to move the car from one location to another, demo driving, getting to and from exhibitions etc.
-Is something similar available here?

-What is emission testing like for classic vehicles? Do they use emission categories or is there a specific max value in can not exeed?

-What are the MFK procedures for classic vehicles? Do they need to have them after they have been registered first time?

Apologies if this has been asked and answered in other posts, but have looked and could not really find anything on imports of old projects like this one.
