They also have a proper mobile site now which is positively spiffing for people who don't have an iPhone

I use their official android app which I find much easier and with the possibility of booking tickets as well.

They never had one of those last time I checked.

They have apps for Windows mobile 7, ovi and blackberry now as well.

The mobile site is useful for anyone without a smart phone though

Yep, this one is recent.
The last one I used was an semi-official app by some ETH students.
It was great as well, but this one is better, and official.

PS: Added a link to it in my original post. Can also be found easily in the Android Market by searching for "sbb".

Not into the new drop down menus. Too much info for a drop down (or is it more a pop down) and a really bright blue color sends me into a panic. Picky, picky me.

There is a GA for students, a free Visa Prepaid or Credit Card as well.

They always had the GA for students but the add on visa looks new.

I hate the new website ! At many subpages there are problems with links and not only this.

For the last week when I try to buy International ticket I get the following message:
Important service notification
At present we have a reply delay of 3 to 4 days for enquiries regarding international trips, which can not be calculated online. Thanking you kindly in advance for your understanding.

I have sent few emails explaining problems that I have found on the website but nothing has changed yet.

Guess this is the way it is going to be for some time.

nikolay, I've never been able to buy an international ticket on the SBB Web site. Always got that same message you are quoting. Therefore I prefer DB or OEBB for my travels.

I managed to buy one of the two tickets I need. It turned out that you are not allow to print international ticket yourself on your home printer Wonder why?!

Anyway, the point is that I am very disappointed with this new SBB site.
