What's going on with this thread? People I used to think were sensible saying things like "pedestrians have the right of way".
Really? They're allowed to just jump into the road whenever they feel like it, in front of a bike or car? And if you hit them it's your fault for "driving too fast"? How slow do you need to be cycling or driving so that a pedestrian, who suddenly jumps out in front of you for no reason, without looking, doesn't get hit? Stupid.
Roll on electric cars; that'll take some of these pedestrians out of the gene pool.
