What anti car thief system? Gps monitoring?

Hi,
For once the search lead no results-

Does anyone has experience with a "Gps monitoring" anti car thief in Switzerland?

I know the "drawbacks" that a simple gprs noise device makes that protection useless.

But more traditional equipment are hackable in 2min (wheel drive blocker, "stick", etc...) or useless (alarm).

Thanks!

had one in the UK, the only time they phoned my up was to tell me it had activated and was currently on the a20 driving towards maidstone.

it was on the back of a recovery truck after being hit by a red light jumper lol.

most pro car thieves know where these devices are hidden and will rip em out in seconds, the only reason we had one was because the insurance company insisted on it. and to be honest if my car was stolen then I really wouldn't want it back.

Yes- I agree with the "pros" who can do anything-

A simple GPRS blocker (hardly costs 100chf) makes it unusable and inefficient-

If it uses radio signals- the antenna "sells you out": the pro immediately knows, cut it, and bye-bye!

But it's probably a bit efficient for the average idiot thief (also existing).

I was once told that one of the best security options for a car, was a big bad ass dog inside.. but it has a few "cons"

A pro is a pro, and will take your car no matter how many CHFs you invest on security, deal with it. Buy an insurance with the lowest deductible possible.
