Parking fine in Austria with CH plates

Hi all,

I would need your help/experience.

Last weekend I was in Austria for the weekend. I parked my car on the street (seemed ok and nothing was written anywhere). When I came back I found a fine on my window not exactly knowing why.

Should I pay this fine or just leave it? If I leave it wouldnt it be a problem if I enter Austria again?

Thank you in advance

Humblebee

How much is the fine and is it worth not paying assuming you might want to go back to Austria some time?

I have lived in Austria before and they will track your car esp if you parked in Vienna. Best thing to do is pay esp if its only 40 Euro or call/write them to ask why you got this fine?

It was actually in Innsbruck! You are probably right.....

I just should pay it. But out of interest....does some contract exist between CH and AUT? Can they prosecute you here in CH?
