Can someone tell me of a cheap car wash in or around Neuchâtel I can take my hire car too. Manual car wash will be fine, just cheap and cheerful to get the bugs off the bonnet before I hand it back tomorrow morning. I will be going to Biel and Yverdon today, so can be a fair bit outside Neuchâtel

Thanks, I was putting in Auto-lave as that's what google translate came up with. That only produced a couple that weren't even car washes. Now to go find the cheapest one.

There are "blue elephant" self washes at:

- Le Mail (turn right over the railway bridge as you drive along Portes-Rouges towards St. Blaise)

- By the Toyota garage/Jumbo/Manor in Marin

- The Mercedes garage in Cortaillod (beside the motorway exit)

Probably others too, but these are the three that I know of.

They take any combination of 1, 2 and 5 CHF coins - the amount of money determines how long you get, but you could in theory just put in a franc.

Perfect, going to Yverdon, will pop into Cortaillod on the way.
