Sorry my bad then, I meant cruising as in driving at a constant (i.e. cruise) speed.

Just a reminder.
Flashing someone with you high beams to get them to move over is ILLEGAL in CH.

I also wanted to take a Photo of another Driver recently, and forward it to the Police.
It was a guy on a Motorcycle, who was driving without hands on the Motorway right in front of me in dense traffic, where we were going ca. 80 km/h.
I did not do it, as I figured, it would take too long to unluck my phone, find the camera Icon, and then get a picture of him, but he was actually driving without hands long enough, that i could have done it. Too bad, I was alone in the car
Doc.

Tom | | | | | Driving without hands.
How does he brake, when he does not have even one hand on the handlebar ?

| | Re: Photo in traffic | Quote: | | | | | I was going 130 on the clock, 120 on the gps, in the 2nd of out 3 lanes. The first lane was full of slow morning traffic (mainly trucks). So I used the next slow lane, 2nd that is, and 3rd occasionally to overtake, then moved back to 2nd. Do I now get the sympathy back? | | | | | Yep. | Quote: | | | | | Just a reminder.
Flashing someone with you high beams to get them to move over is ILLEGAL in CH. | | | | | Art. 35 SR 741.01 Strassenverkehrsgesetz
allows you to give signal if you want to overtake a slower vehicle. Signal can either be the horn (daytime) or high beam (night, see Art. 29 741.11 Verkehrsregelnverordnung). What is highly illegal is to tailgate the other car so the driver can see if you have brushed your teeth.

In case anyone is interested. The links (in French) talk about the issue in a round-about way but the idea is no flashing to get people to move over. From memory, I read about it in the TCS newspaper a while ago. http://www.admin.ch/ch/f/rs/741_01/a40.html

Even if he has a brake at the right foot (I dont know, i dont have a license for a bike), the car in front of him can still brake, and he would still need his hands on the wheels to control the bike.

How does he brake, when he does not have even one hand on the handlebar ? | | | | | With his foot, for example.
