| | Pimp my Ride
I have a great Toyota Previa and for some reason Toyota and Honda are not selling Minivans anymore in Switzerland. My wife absolutely loves the car but the kids have torn it up a bit. I am looking for a company that can "pimp my ride" ,, replace the leather seats, new carpet, nav system, and body work, new paint. pretty easy to get done in the states, but where do i go in Europe? Doesn't have to be Switzerland, but somewhere close to the Zurich area would be better.
Any ideas?

it would be cheaper to buy another one then do the work your talking about. Poland are pretty big on car restorations at a decent price.
I was quoted over £2k to replace the leather in one of my cars, that was in the uk about 5 years ago, and for a car they already had the pattern for the seats, so I dread to think what a retrimmer would charge here

Any ideas? | | | | | What about a Toyota Verso? 7 seater and reliable as hell. You can pick them up for around 14k on Autoscout (previously called Toyota Corolla Verso). Honda also produce a 7 seater, though can't remeber the name.

Thanks guys. Wife is in love with this 2004 model with sliding doors, 7 leather seats and enough space to carry 3 houses worth of stuff. I have identical twin girls, so it is 3 women against one.. guess who wins?
A new Toyota Sienna from the states is going for 70k, so i figured I had a lot of room to play with a pimp my rode concept.

the trouble with your plan is your taking a car worth xx chf (sorry no idea what they are worth), spending many many thousands of chf on it, and it will still only be worth xx chf, not so bad if your going to keep it forever, but if it gets crashed all you'll get paid out is the market value.
have you checked places like ebay to see if anyone it stripping a car like yours with a decent interior, or if anyone does replacement seat covers for it (probably not as its not a boy racer mobile)

Any ideas? | | | | | That's a good idea. Ceiling liner for my VW jetta is falling down. I would be interested in finding a reasonable place to have it fixed.
Good luck |

you can buy seat covers from gtcovers.com, you can find rubber mats to replace the old ones, buy a tomtom go live , then you can go to a bodyshop here and get a respray

If the kids "tore my car up", I'd get a Porsche and pull them around in a cage on a trailer. And ensure that there was space for the wife in case she started nagging.
Does that help?

You could just write to MTV suggesting they do a special European addition and you just happen to have a project car. They do an English version of the show as well so you could try them too.

Does that help? | | | | | I used to do something similar: put the kids in the sidecar, wife behind, no intercom system.
Couldn't hear the wife or the kids!

Good luck | | | | | Quotes in the UK are around £700 for a brand new roof liner for a Volvo. I did a DIY fix - I'll see if I can find the photos tonight and post them up.
I was at Emmennegger power on Saturday - and when you hear of the customisation costs over here you realise standard is a good thing!!!

Any ideas? | | | | | The Previa is a pretty rare model to pimp, only shop in Switzerland I found through google that seems to sell Jap-made bodykits is: http://www.totalracingcomponents.com/index2.htm
If I ever get a van, I'd go for the one and only acceptable one: Volkswagen.
Getting a Previa reworked from the interior to the body and then repainted will cost you probably more than a nice used T5 "business" - that's a Volks Van with Bentley seats! http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/sh...e&pageNumber=1 | This user would like to thank Treverus for this useful post: | |
