I have my Kontrollfahrt driving test in about two weeks from now and have a chance to convert my Indian driving license to a Swiss one at one shot. I have been taking lessons for about a month and a half....

Could you give me suggestions for the D-Day and may be share your experiences.

dont be nervous, thats the biggest issue to make mistakes. also get into a routine when getting in the car. even if you forget to adjust mirrors etc it might be over right away.
Also listen very carefully to instructions BUT DO NOT follow them blindly. If you get the ass instructor thew will try to make you drive into a one way or something. So follow the instructions but make sure you look at each and every sign also.
passed mine first time (in Belgium which app is one of the hardest to get) and made no mistakes

If you have been used to driving on the left side of the road (as in India), you are doing the right thing by taking driving lessons here. That in itself should be enough.

The other thing to do would be to practice and get familiar with the driving conditions in the area where your Strassenverkehrsamt is. Try driving in that area around that time of the day when your Kontrolfahrt is scheduled, to gauge the traffic situation.

We have had friends who came from Dubai and were already used to driving on the right side of the road for years. Both, the husband and wife, passed with just three driving lessons each.

The key is to listen to the Swiss driving instructor and not go with the attitude of "I know everything about driving".I have had Indian friends, who, because they had been driving in India for years, failing the Kontrolfahrt because of overconfidence and not spending enough time learning the "Swiss way".

In some places, sadly, yes.

Just remember, do NOT honk the horn when overtaking another vehicle, and you'll do fine.
