english speaking BMW mechanic around Zug?

Does anyone have a good experience with a BMW mechanic near Zug/Baar/surrounding areas? We need one very soon, and don't want to pay dealer prices if there is a good independent shop around. English speaking if possible??

PS Had a search for similar threads and found all BMW dealers - thanks! but we are looking for independent if possible.

Thanks for your help,
Cheers,

Re: english speaking BMW mechanic around Zug?

Hi all

I wondered if there is such a place (Independent and cheaper BMW Garage in Zug)?

I need to do small repairs to my car and Binelli seems a bit expensive.

Thanks!

Some years have passed, but maybe anyone has some suggestions? Or is Binelli Zug the only viable way to fix a BMW?

Try a Subaru garage. They will fix anything cause Subarus hardly ever break down.

Funny you say that because my local Suburu dealer is always working on other cars, especially classic cars. I've seen them working on classic Ferraris, Jags, Mercs etc

Doesn't any respectable "free" garage do BMWs?

Re: english speaking BMW mechanic around Zug?

They're named multimarken garage/autowerkstatt. As the name implies, they work with several car brands.

You can try other small garages. Not many have someone that speaks english.

I have experience with Acklin Garage dowm at Poststrasse and Tekin Garage not far from Binelli.

The only difference in my experience is the labour cost (around CHF120.- an hour as opposed to CHF250.- at the main dealers). As to the actual parts they order originals from BMW at BMW prices so you won’t be saving any money there. Consumables are cheaper, they might even let you bring your own if you want.

The other “cost saving” alternative is to take it across the border to the main dealer in Germany. There is one in Waldshut. Expect a saving between 20-30% but what you save in money you will lose in time and petrol. (Depends how much you value your time).
