I have to commute Konstanz to Baden, and the traffic queue at the Gubrist tunnel is driving me nuts!

Does anyone know cross-country route to avoid the Gubrist, or an alternative route?

If you put Baden to Konstanz into Google Maps the second route it will show you (A7) takes you through Wislikofen and Embrach to Winterthur where you join the highway. I used to take that road when I was visiting a relative who was recovering at the lakeside after an operation. It moved quite well although I could imagine there being jams around the big roundabout just after the highway stretch at Glattfelden and again near Embrach. Also mind the speed cameras in Rorbas.
