| Greetings
Just got back from Holiday, and noticed that my passenger door had a dent in it - most probably from someone opening their driver door quite hard.
Car is parked in a secure underground parking space, was not moved for two weeks, and on either side is a wall and another parking space which is in use. I have been given details of the "renter" of the parking space next to mine.
BUT
I have no actual proof that the individual caused the incident -
It is very annoying as I have only had the car for two months, and am really trying to look after it.
Any suggestions on how to proceed?
I am sure that nay claim would impact my insurance premium......and also the hassle of getting the dent fixed (not easy to just pop out by myself).
Many thanks in adv. | |

I don't understand...... is there a "wall" on either side of your parking spot or not?
If there is, then the damage was caused maliciously..... and I would wonder why someone would go out of their way to do this to you.
Also, if there is a parking spot next to you (and therefore - no wall), I think it's in your best interest to
NOT jump to conclusions and begin a "blame game".
If it makes you feel better (and you have the details of the person), go and politely ask if they "know" about the ding in your door, or how it got there. DO NOT accuse them under any circumstances.
Chances are they may fess up, and you can discuss insurance details then.
If not, just say thanks, and contact your own insurance company and discuss options.
In Switzerland, chances are you're pretty much covered.
