Parkers Price Guide equivalent in Switzerland?

All,

Is there such a thing in Switzerland? Keen to get guidance on what second car prices are worth, looked at Autoscout to get an idea from garages but would like to see independent guidance on prices.

Thanks

If you do a search for cars on Comparis car market, it will give you a target price for the car.. perhaps based on some link to EuroGlass or historical car sale prices.

The TCS used to have something like this, however I have no idea if they still do it. Worth checking out perhaps.

Many of the guides are based on what second hand cars are advertised for, which is unconnected to their value or ultimate sale price. What someone will pay NOW is it's value, go into a dealer & ask, it will be way less than the dealer wants to sell for.

Re: Parkers Price Guide equivalent in Switzerland?

Expensive! When I moved here last Summer, the best priced second hand car I could get was a 1998 Audi. It was and still is in fabulous condition, however it was the only second hand car within 10,000CHF that had low mileage. It currently has 76,000km and garaged if you're interested? I'm in limbo right now and need to cut back. Let me know if you're still looking. If not, I hope you found a good car with reasonable mileage and price.

You really should not pay much a premium for a low milage , the car may have been driven in town more & will have far more engine wear.
My 1995 BMW with 292,000 used virtually zero oil & does not need any topping up between services. I bought it with 165,000 3 years ago & spent very little on running costs. Unlike the Audi it has a timing chain & not a belt which needs to be changed at approx 100K or every 6 years.

Has the belt on the Audi ever been changed?
