Hi all,

First post here and of course it's a moan...is it just my luck or has anyone else noticed that tram 13 regularly seems to run late in the morning peak hour? All too frequently it seems two come along nearly together, or are so far behind that the poor old electronic arrival boards get confused and give up, leading to 'phantom' trams. These are supposed to be immaculate Swiss transportation machines, not London buses/tubes!

Other than that Switzerland is lovely of course

You must alert the authorities!

You get around two trams every 15 minutes. At worst 6 minutes late. Dreadful by Swiss standards, but comparing it to London, seriously ???

And I bet they do that annoying thing that London buses do too. The back one refuses to overtake the front one, so the front one is crammed full while the driver of the back one never has to take any fares.

Bloody awful. Someone should really pay a big price for their utter contempt of your wellbeing!

Yeah, I wish that empty tram at the back would simply overtake the one in front that is bogged down by its driver having to take fares.

The rule is that you are allowed to flush the toilet
after 10pm once for every time you experience a delay.

Well in Switzerland it is legal to couple trams. Is this what you're seeing?

well, in london, you probably have an average of 30 seconds wait when trains are every minute during peak time.

With the exception of one part of Croydon, you can spend a lifetime waiting for a tram in London, peak or not.

Also on Sunday?

Just keep walking to the next tram stop....you will get to vent off your frustrations and it does wonders for your health..

Ha, thanks for the replies. I should have mentioned I used to get annoyed if I had to wait more than 2 minutes for a tube, so it's probably just withdrawal symptoms

well, i can't really call anything outsize zone 1/2 london.

I love to wind up locals about the 4 minute delays. They really do take it far to seriously, looking every 10 seconds at their watch then the boards then the horizon then each other.
I'm just thankful the things turn up. I even sometimes say hello and thanks.
