Flying UK to ZH with citrus trees

Hi all, I'm in the UK and have 6 small lovely citrus trees to bring back. Has anyone done this before, is it allowed? I could pack in my hold bag or take most of the soil off and put in my carry on case.
I'm nervous, don't want the Luton security or the Swiss customs to pinch them.

And advice? Cheers

You will need to declare them on arrival. Show the receipt if you have it. Shouldn't be a problem really, pack them in a hard case, to avoid the baggage handlers breaking them. You can't take them as hand luggage!

Don't risk it.

They took 50 ml of toothpaste off me at Gatwick, they said it might be a weapon as it was enclosed in a 150 ml tube.
