Traveling from Geneva to Toulouse

Hi all,

I'm going to be traveling from Geneva to Toulouse probably the weekend of the 11/11. I'm planning to travel via train and TGV. According to the SBB timetable for the 11th(Friday) there is an RE 96554 leaving Geneva at 07.28 in the morning.

The Journey has one change at Lyon-Part-Dieu, it gets there at 09.26. The TGV then leaves at 09.37.

Having never been to Lyon-Part-Dieu before i haven't a clue of the station layout and what platforms are where.

My question is, is it feasible to get from the Geneva train to the TGV in the 11 minutes designated, or is Lyon-Part-Dieu too big a station?

Or if you have any other suggestions of how to do the journey? Also i don't have a car so that is out of the question

Re: Traveling from Geneva to Toulouse

If the train from Geneva is on time, you will be fine - the actual platform change won't take you more than three or four minutes.

It's a similar sized station to Geneva, maybe a bit bigger. There must be about 12 platforms altogether, all parallel to each other - you just go down the escalator, along the underpass and up the escalator to your next platform.
