Cheapest way of buying 2nd hand car for use in chf

I am looking to buy a 2nd hand range rover.
Everyone tells me u can't buy a uk car that's rhd and get it registered easily and insured.
Lhd is cool.
Can anyone make sense and point me in the right direction and point me in the right direction.
Seems to me that the Swiss want their cake and eat it and want u to pay the top as they won't allow any cheap options.
Any one got any sensible solutions pls .

Regards

You either buy a 2nd hand Swiss car
http://www.autoscout24.ch/Default.aspx

or you buy from a neighbouring country and import it.

Those are you only two options. Take the time to examine both and then come back here if you need further help.

stuck on repeat?

how much cheaper do you want it? there are no shortcuts, for you to get it cheaper someone else has to lose money, the manufacturer doesn't like to lose money and won't, the dealer doesn't like losing money and won't... the only person that might have to lose money is a private seller who has to sell urgently alternative is to import but that's a complicated route specially with landrover, people here only buy german cars and they are more liquid in the second hand market.

Presumably you didn't come here with a UK salary, so why as a money broker do you think the salary you do get is so high?

Any one got any sensible solutions pls
1 - Import one with all the associated admin', from France or Germany
2 - Look to take over someones lease as they are leaving and they will have taken the deposit/depreciation hit.
3 - Look for a older 100k +km car on comparis or autoscout, the Swissies have an aversion to big mile motors.
