Car from UK, also Quad-bike

(i) - Now that I am beginning to settle in Switzerland, to bring a normal right-hand drive car over from UK, is it as simple as just driving it across and I assume, like everything else, I have to tell the Gemeinde / Rat-haus people, but is it that simple or do I need to change the plates to these ZH-... or AG-... canton plates, like local vehicles have.

(ii) - If I wish to bring over a small ( 250 cc. ) quad-bike, can I take it out on the road here, I assume it is probably not allowed on the WanderWegs...., or is there anywhere else I can use it ?
