| | I have an "Abonement" for one year, but I have to change my location.
Hi,
I have to change the adress in a couple of months but I have a new "abonement" until next Juni. My question is:
could they update my abonement for the zones I will have to use or do I have to make a new one and lose the current?
Thanks

Go to SBB and explain the change.

We've had no trouble 'upgrading' our passes when we moved house - we needed to convert the zone 10 to one with three zones...

It is no problem usually. They usually change it out for a small
administration fee.
When I left Switzerland a few years ago, I received a refund
of over 1000CHF in cash for turning in my General Abonnement.

I do not think it is about a GA ( which does not matter if the holder has changed address within CH ). Rather, it might be a ZVV or SBB year long pass through certain zones like from home to work / uni, and changing of an address to another zone might require a change in the pass.

my pass without asking. The only catch is the administrative fee.
