My OH is about to part exchange our car when he has just realised that the service book of the car he bought 6 months ago is NOT there
According to the new garage they will not give us the price agreed without it.
Unfortunately, my OH did not know it was not there (and niavely didn't know what it was as first car purchase
) but being his usual anal self kept everything he was given on the day therefore we summise that he was never given it.
So off we trot to the garage where we bought the car and they said they don't have it. We are not sure where we stand now. The car is 1 year old, he bought it in June 2011 and without the service book the new gagrage will only give us 10k for our 24k car
He's signed for his new car and made the payment without the book, on the trust that we turn up with it tomorrow.
Any ideas?
