Importing car from Middle East

Hello everyone,
I recently moved back to Switzerland (in August) after living in the United Arab Emirates for teh past 16 years.
I have just started attending a college here in Lugano and I was wondering if I could get some help.
While I was in the U.A.E. I sat for a license there and got it, and got my self a car from some family friends that was in good condition.
Now that I am back in Switzerland I am interested in importing my car here so I save myself the cost of buying a new car; can it be done without too much hassle?
And for the license is it ok to drive around with an international license? Or would it be recommended I try and covert my license to a swiss one?

Thanks for you help.

Will do.
Just 1 question does it matter that the car is gulf-spec? or is that a non-issue?

Thank you

If gulf-specs are similar to swiss-specs, it is a non-issue.
