Certificate of conformance (COC), Ford - UK (best option)

Friends

Need to go to inspection for CH number plates.

I need COC for my for ford fiesta with UK plates.

Can you suggest best way?

I read, I can try Zurich ford dealers or UK ford dealers or there are some websites wanting 150 euros to get it to you from all over EU.

Any experiences please? What is the best and cheapest way to get it?

thanks for your answers.

150 sounds right. thats what I paid.
Went to a Bmw dealer and they got it for me from BMW Germany.
Keep in mind it takes up to 2 weeks to get

DO NOT pay anything yet..... contact Ford UK for the COC, you may get it free - it should be.

However when I changed my car over I didnt take a COC, they have all the COC's at the MFK station anyway, the guy looked at theone on file and that was it.

What rob1 said. You'll find all the details you need on the Ford UK website.
How do I obtain a Certificate of Conformity?
If you require a Certificate of Conformity for a car, please contact us at coc@ford.com, if you require a Certificate of Conformity for a commercial vehicle, please email us at cvbrand@ford.com.

Can I have same size front & rear registration plates in Zurich
Are you talking about a different car here to this post?

Regardless, times they are a changin' guys... in most cases C.o.C's/sub mac's have been a chargeable item for a while now. Manufacturers are cutting costs and maximising revenue where possible, so OP you need the form and looks like it will cost.... and £82 is less than 150€.

The coc is specific to your car, it has your chassis number etc on, so using one on file sounds a little odd. I paid £150 for mine. Never heard of any car company giving them away free.

As with all things here it seems a little hit and miss, we had to have one, yet another member importing at the same time didn't.

Personally i'd get one just in case, if you have all the docs etc you seem to get an easier ride

I also left my U.S. Mazda at the MFK, they found everything they needed except how much HP it had as in U.S. it didn't say, I took a copy of road and driver in to show them and that was it. only paid for the MFK

Yes, that was my car and this is my wife's car. With my Car, they did not want the COC. Reason they game me: It was considered as an import of household good and they gave me a declaration that was good for transport office.
