Driving to Konstanz

Hello,
I'll be going to Konstanz in the comming days. I heard parking in Germany is expensive (I need to park for 1 week). So I am thinking of parking on the swiss side and then taking the train to Germany. Are there places near border, where I can park free?
Thanks much

Re: Driving to Konstanz

Don't know about any free parking on the Swiss side but parking in Konstanz is the same price as in the Netherlands, Switzerland paid parking is more expensive.

Re: Driving to Konstanz

If you are going only for a few hours I think that a train ticket could be more than the parking...

Re: Driving to Konstanz

If you were told that it is expensive to park in Germany then you were told the wrong thing, Konstanz is cheap to park would cost you around 15 Euro a day in the more expensive spots and there are sure to be plenty much cheaper then that.

Re: Driving to Konstanz

I dont know how much parking costs specifically in Konstanz, but what you heard just sounds plain wrong. I have yet to come across ANYTHING that is cheaper in CH than it is in DE...
