Please recommend a practice driving route for a very beginner?

Dear all,

I have a driving licence from my home country for about 20 years. however I never driven. Except 10's off lessons I took a few years ago in the UK and failed my practical test just before moving to Zurich.
Now I have arranged a driving instructor in Zurich however I would like to practice with my husband before the lessons starts. Just to see how much I remember from 40 odd lessons I took 4 years ago

Can anyone recommend me a very quiet place? in fact empty to start practicing in an around Zurich.

I feel this is my last chance to get this licence and it is now my priority so a big deal for me.

Thanks for recommendations

Sunday or in the evening. Regensdorf; Bahnstrasse, Spitzenhoelzlistrasse, Althardstrasse, Pumpwerkstrasse.
Don't forget your learners permit. Don't forget to put on the magnetic L sticker while you are driving.

Personally I don't think that practicing on a quiet road helps. You need to practice in real life. That's not to say you should hit the autobahn and head to Germany to tank it at 200 kph, but driving on normal roads at normal times (sure, stay away from rush hour) is best.

Also, driving at night/evening when light is poor when you are trying to learn is bad IMO.

Why don't you just take a trip from Zurich to Zug along the A roads, or a trip around the lake?

Good luck.

Thanks all for taking the time and writing your suggestions. I think i took them all on board. Did alot of Zurich to Zug driving. Also went on the normal traffic to experience it all. I even drove alone in Zurich center in rush hours ( i m allowed to as had a licence from other non eu country).

So today was the big day and passed the test. Super happy!

Thank you again!
