Flashed by oncoming car - but not speeding?

Taking my twisty route home on the Diavel tonight, and got flashed by some old duffer as i exited a corner. I was doing all of 82kph.

However, I was "peg&toe down" at the time, in a corner you'd normally do at 50 or so in the car. I therefore assume that's not popular with the locals? I thought it was just speed that annoyed them?

Re: Flashed by oncoming car - but not speeding?

Maybe he was warning you of danger ahead - there could of been an accident around the corner.

In France you are normally flashed to let you know the Police are around the corner with a speed gun...

If someone flashes me, I assume that there are cops or other danger ahead.
