Ireland --> Continental Europe shipping logistics

Hi Guys,

I need to get some family heirlooms and wares from Donegal, Ireland to CH this summer --there are a lot of crystal and pictures so it is not something that I can take on a plane. I would like to ship this here as economically as possible (i.e. less than 700 chf).

I have been thinking about the following three scenarios:

-I would fly there and then pack everything and then have it shipped to Dublin then have it shipped via sea freight and delivered to France. I would then drive from Zurich to France and collect the stuff.

-Possibly I could have it packed and shipped within Ireland and then take my car over there on the ferry. The ferry looks to be around 130 euro each way and runs overnight.

-Lastly I could fly there and then rent a van (i.e. people carrier) and then pack and transport myself to Dublin or somewhere and then have it shipped via freight direct to CH.

The issue is that I have enough stuff to fill a few small boxes, but not enough to fill any kind of container. This usually means that it would have to go freight (i.e. palletized) and getting it to CH results in heavy costs.
Does anyone have any experience with doing this type of thing? Any tips and links that I can consider?
Thanks.

I would Pack it, drop it off at the nearest DHL or UPS pickup point and send it direct to your home here in Switzerland.

We used RAS group when we moved from Dublin back in 2010. They were by far the cheapest and not only that, they turned out to be super helpful and very efficient in-deed. Our stuff got picked up in Dublin in the apartment on the dot as agreed and delivered on the dot as agreed.

When (and if we had questions) we would pop them a mail and always got a reply ultra fast. I would recommend you to at least ask for a quote
