I am looking for the road awareness theory course (Verkehrskunde) in Zurich which is mandatory before a practical driving test. Could anyone help me knowing where I could take this course in English?

I have contacted a driving school near Stadelhofen, and they do offer the course in English, but at double of the normal price - so it's 300 SFR. If you are interested, you may send me an email (xiongjiangtao@hotmail.com), and maybe we can register this course together?

A quick update - for people who may be interested in the future:
In the end I did not go to that school, as they are too inflexible (typical for Swiss though). We went to a driving school near Oerlikon. Here is the link:

They provide VKU course in English, and are quite flexible and relative good price.

bumping this thread. Has anyone come across an instructor who'll do the VKU course in English? I've tried the school mentioned in the thread but their English course won't be available until April.

I've taken the regular course in that school. There was a attendee that couldn't speak a word of German, and the instructor would mention the most important parts in English just for him. You could ask, that may work for you.

I did the course last year with Anne http://fahreschlauer.ch/en/ she offers the course in both English and German.

Just contacted Anne as mentioned in the previous post and she advises she no longer gives the VKU course. I am therefore still looking for aomeone who provides this in English - if anyone knows of any I'd be really grateful. So far in 2016 I have completed my 1st aid, passed my theory, started lessons and now just need the road awareness course in order to take my practical - HELP !!!

I contacted Mannshard driving school and they agreed to offer the course in English but one to one and its Fr310 so they asked me if I could find someone else, then prices could be reduced. Let me know if you would be interested.

My husband might be interested to join. Would you be doing it in one day?

Mannhard can do it when they have a bunch of people, Anna does not do it anymore, and so place at Stadelhofen...english VKU lessons are dying out.

I did my VKU in English in Oerlikon. Their VKU course is not offered often as they have to gather enough students to fill in a class. Normally they offer the course every 2-3 months so you have to check their website regularly.
