Airport and Motorhome

I wonder if anyone can help.

I am due to pick up my partner in Geneva Airport, my vehicle is a motorhome, is there anywhere that I can park up waiting for her arrival?

Secondly, this will be my only trip into the Airport, will I need to buy vignette just to pick someone up from teh airport?

Would it be better for her to take a taxi over the border?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Airport and Motorhome

Google Geneva airport. It's all there, including vehicle heights. In English.

if you have to go on a swiss motorway to get there then yes you need a vignette, the police wait at the border and on the motorways near the borders to catch people who don't have one.

Re: Airport and Motorhome

Parking at the airport is expensive. Sometimes I park outside and ask my partner to phone when she lands, then I drive into the short stay expensive parking which is just near the airport building exit.

Not sure why you'd bother - if you're in phone contact there's a perfectly good, and free, pick-up area you can use.
