Place to wash the motorbike

Hi,

had a look using the search but no information was found.

I have a jet wash near where I live but the issue is that the metal grid covers a very large area so it would be very difficult to put the side or central stand down.

Anyone know of a jet wash in the Zurich area that would be suitable for a motorcycle.

Many thanks,

G

Re: Place to wash the motorbike

Have you considered buying a rubber kick-stand coaster and placing that on the metal grid?

Also, have a quick look up-close at the wash bays if you haven't already. Ours has a grid like you describe, but there's also an area with a much finer mesh that would support a kick-stand.

I went to Wadi Wosch in Wadenswil today. I don't think there was a grid at all. Just concrete.

Thanks for the replies.

@Villiage Idiot: I do have one of the rubber kick stand coaster somewhere, just need to try to dig it out and see if it will do the trick.

@kosifantutti: Thank you for the link.

@HAT: I'm near Letzipark.

Hi
I think you should bring yourself to the mountain and not bring the mountain to you (Chinese idiom). You need to solve the issue with the side stand and not the wash bay.
Use a piece of flat plank or a hard piece of plastic as suggested here.
One more tip, jet sprays can damage radiator fins and erode gaskets if used too forcefully, take note.

Next question, what is your bike?

Re: Place to wash the motorbike

The bike is an old but well sorted TDM 900, with about 76,000km on the clock.

I will have a look around if I can find something that will do the job. I must go and take a proper look at the wash station near my house, there might be a way of putting the bike on the grid without too much hassle.

Thanks again.
