Hello everyone,

I started studying in Geneva in September and I was driving a borrowed car from some of my relatives who live in Zürich.
I currently am driving on with my driving license (Bahrain) with an international license. I am looking to purchase a second hand car in January but I want to wait till February to exchange my license for a swiss one.
My question is; Can you purchase a car and register it under an international license and then a month or two later change over to a swiss license?
Or is it not worth the work/costs involved and I should get my swiss license before purchasing the car?
