Changing zones on the ZVV monthly pass

For those who are very familiar with the different ZVV passes:
I have a monthly pass for 3 zones, basically for my way to work. I will move into different location, and I will need 3 zones as well, but 2 of them would be different. Is there any chance to change the zones on a pass? Or can I somehow have an extension for additional 1-2 zones to my current one?
This is something really not mentioned on the official sites...
Thanks in advance!

I guess you can always verify with the nearest manned SBB station.

Re: Changing zones on the ZVV monthly pass

Thanks, that sounds fair enough. But I'm not sure how it might work out on the practical side... Now I have a pass indicating zones 21 30 31, but soon I will need zones 10 and 21. Are they simply up to change my pass with original validity period? That would be perfect.
Anyway, I will ask tomorrow at the station and post the result.

Re: Changing zones on the ZVV monthly pass

So, I finally had time to do this.
Here it is how it works. I do bieve the solution is quite generic, so it might solve other problems as well in a similar way.

You go to the station, and ask for the modification. They take your old pass, and give you a new one, with the new conditions (for me new zones, for instance), valid from the day of this action, or any date later (but not the original validity date). You pay for the new pass, and what is the key of the whole process is that they refund the remaining days of your old pass.
My was valid for abt. for 3 more weeks, so I got refunded 81 CHF, and therefore paid 34 for a new monthly pass valid from today for a month (original price would be 115 CHF).
