You mean a Heads Up Display it's not a new idea many manufacturers have utilised this, putting the speed up on the windscreen and so on.
The problem is making it work in every concievable lighting condition...bright sunlight obviously washes out the image.

I've gotta ask, what's your angle here onei?
Like the answer to every problem it has to be simple and practical, the solution is for a client so i cannot disclose yet but it really is quite brilliant..

I always said that many (US) states could solve their budget problems by simply enforcing the laws that they do have.

Im merely trying to find out if the problem is as widespread as he believes it is, the solution is not a cheap one, if I could not guarantee a ROI I wont take the job on..

It's easy to take money off people by offering a solution, but it needs to past the test of time, be scalable and profitable for him....

It's not that difficult to become rich, how you do it though to safe guard your clientele is important, especially when people rely on you to be honest and fair

Ironically you can only access the messages when the vehicle is stopped...

That's not ironic at all. It's safe and practicle.

Re: Texting and driving

On another note I use a Plantronics M20 with my Lumia and it reads out texts, once the text is read I hear reply or done if I say reply I hear a beep and say my message it then reads it back to me and then I say send or cancel or try again

Pretty much standard technology for most smartphones

It's so tempting to just pick up the phone and to read the text, but it is now just as dangerous as speaking on a mobile whilst driving, if not more so because you can put the phone beside your ear and hold it with your neck and still see ahead...

Some cars allow you to read text from your dashboard but again, your eyes are off the road, would anyone like to get involves in a solution that eliminates the problem (marketing guys really) please PM.
my colleague was leaving our office a couple of weeks ago and a young man was texting and hit her. she was seriously injured and thankfully, she will be ok...

anyone who does it is completely irresponsible and really should be prosecuted by the law... what on earth did one do before there were cell phones? Oh, I know, just drove the car.

I find it very difficult to text and drive. Sometimes I end up dropping my book or my coffee.

What about texting while riding your bike? On the way to dinner the other night we were behind a dude on his bicycle - riding with no hands, texting away (or maybe playing Angry Birds). No helmet, no hands...no problem??

Terrible behaviour. But, of course, a cyclist doing that is only likely to damage himself (or maybe scratch your car) - vehicle drivers who text are a much greater danger and tend to kill other road users (cyclists, pedestrians, car passengers, etc).

Re: Texting and driving

As I wrote before, if caught texting while driving will result in instant removal of driving license, my son told me, he has recently passed his test.

http://tt.bernerzeitung.ch/region/ka...story/17638832 , Fine is 800 to 1'000 Franks

In Switzerland, a drunken cyclist will receive a ban on all his licenses, including any boat and aeroplane licenses. So probably the same for a texting offence.

Re: Texting and driving

The police here in Basel seem to think driving whilst chatting on a mobile (not hands free) is a clever thing to do. Loads of drivers do it, and the police watch on.

I find it hard to believe they'llall suddenly switch to enforce-the-law mode if the person is texting.

Re: Texting and driving

A couple of years ago, somebody in the US posted a youtube video of a motorcycle cop texting while riding down the street. It made the national news, but was in a state that hadn't passed a no texting law at the time.
