Parking dial question...

Quick question. When I park in a blue zone, do I need to use a specific parking dial? The blue one the dealer provided is falling apart and I ran across this more permanent and well designed model (http://www.stelton.com/da-DK/Categor...spx?sc_lang=en). Does anyone know if it is legit to use in Switzerland?

Thanks.

Re: Parking dial question...

Garages sell neat plastic ones. Or tell your insurance agent that yours has fallen apart and they might have a branded plastic one

Re: Parking dial question...

I don't think there is a problem - the only issue is that the wardens may not see it as they will be looking for a blue one.

Unforutnately if they issue a ticket even though you have displayed correct times on your dial you cannot prove this later.

You can also get some which stick to you screen with static that are "blue" - available in Migros Do It/Obi stores.

I had the same thought Carlos. Perhaps they won't see the dial at all. Thanks for the tips on the plastic ones. I was hoping if I had to buy one, it could be more discreet, but I suppose that defeats the point!

I don't know what happens where you are, but you can get one free (or at least I did) from the town traffic place where you buy parking permits and other things which I did not bother to find out about.
