Self Service Car/Van Workshops in Zurich?

Hi guys,

Just bought a VW Van, needs some work doing to it which I'm capable of doing it myself. Basically will be converting it to a camper van. I have a lot of tools in the UK I could bring over but what I'm missing is the space. Our indoor garage has no electricity and is fairly busy.

Are there any workshops around Zurich I could take it to for a couple of months, or even visit every weekend etc? Dry and warm would be a bonus but not 100% necessary.

Cheers

Thanks for the link, 220chuffs a day, ouch! Maybe I underestimated how much Zurich electricity costs :-)

You should look at renting a workshop - homegate might be the best start - BUT it would be cheap.

It is the viscous circle I have been looking to break - and get my toys over to play on. I am working on a project with someone else - if it goes anywhere I will post something.

There is vacant area under my workshop, the ceiling height is low (+-2m) it has been vacant for 6 months, it is a bit cold but there is power and lights. I rent a storage room off the side of this space. The rent is about Chf120m2 per year, you would fit about 3 cars lengthways in there but they will probably rent you the space you intend to use. There are good train and bus connections to Zurich from in front of the house. see http://www.homegate.ch/mieten/103525825 it is owned by Landi but the agent (Herr Vogele) is a good guy and has good english.

RTN - Any chance you can take a picture and measure the width of the entrance into the 48m2 area - and/or the 117m2 area??

IE - there is no point me calling about it if I know the entrance is too narrow!!
